Kathy Bogdan

Owner and Director of Ulupna Winery, Kathy sees herself as inextricably connected with the vineyard, running the winery alongside her daughter, Viviana Ferrari. A vibrant, strong woman, Kathy is constantly either on the road (moving stock between the winery and our Melbourne Office) or in the vines, where she feels most at home.

It was indeed Kathy, in 1984 that walked through the properties on Crawfords Road, Strathmerton and chose the winery based on the consistency and colour of the soil as it ran through her fingers.

Overseeing and managing the winemaking process from pruning, to harvesting, and finally bottling, Kathy’s close relationship with the vineyard, the land and our grapes is unique and integral to the winery’s function.
