Nick Bogdan
Nick and his family immigrated to Australia in 1983 from Romania. He was working as an economist, working for the national railway organization. Besides his day job, he created ten thousand projects that his wife, Kathy, brought life too. From breeding silkworms and Dalmatians, through to having a strawberry farm and raising pigeons, hares and goats.
On coming to Australia, the Ulupna property was purchased within one year. This gave Nick the opportunity to start experimenting again outside of his normal day jobs.
Although he is still involved in the larger vision of the farm, he has left the wine side of the business to his wife and daughter. He, now, has time to experiment with different crops and wherever else his creativity takes him in the future.
He is very proud of the success of the Ulupna wine.
